London Marathon organiser announces decade-long fundraising partnership
The company that organises the TCS London Marathon has announced a “record-breaking” 10-year extension of its partnership with the online fundraising platform Enthuse.
The long-term agreement between Enthuse and London Marathon Events will also make the platform the online fundraising partner for all new LME challenges.
Since LME partnered with Enthuse in 2022, it has raised more than £60m for charities through the online platform for the TCS London Marathon, including more than £30m towards the record-breaking £73.5m fundraising total from this year’s event.
Under the new 10-year partnership, Enthuse will be the official fundraising partner across LME’s existing event portfolio, including the TCS London Marathon, the Bath Half Marathon, Brighton Marathon Weekend, the Big Half, Swim Serpentine, Vitality Westminster Mile and Vitality London 10,000.
Enthuse will also become the online fundraising partner for all new LME events and will have a wider range of marketing rights.
Integrating Enthuse with LME’s registration process will mean that fundraising pages, which are fully branded with the logo and colours of the relevant charity, are automatically created as participants sign up for events, which LME said saves time for charities.
It added that for charities, the partnership provided full access to real-time fundraising and donations data, insights and analytics for their supporters participating in any LME event through a centralised account for all events.
Fundraising pages are also integrated with LME’s official event apps, so supporters who are tracking a participant can donate, LME said, adding that one in seven donations on event days come through the app.
Hugh Brasher, chief executive of LME, said: “We have exciting plans for this record-breaking new 10-year agreement, which will continue to provide charities with an innovative service and a transparent charging model that gives confidence to fundraisers.
“We look forward to raising more record-breaking sums on Enthuse over the coming decade.”
Chester Mojay-Sinclare, founder and chief executive of Enthuse, said: “We’re absolutely delighted with our deeper partnership with London Marathon Events through this long-term agreement.
He added: “We believe our charity-first model, combined with event-specific platforms, is the future of mass event fundraising, and this 10-year partnership underlines that belief.
“This agreement provides long-term certainty for charities and we are excited about delivering on our ambition of raising half a billion pounds for good causes with London Marathon Events by 2034.”
