Health charity appoints new policy chief
The health charity The King’s Fund has appointed Siva Anandaciva as director of policy, events and partnerships.
Anandaciva, who joined the fund as chief analyst in 2017, has been acting co-director of policy since Sally Warren left in July after five years to join the Department of Health and Social Care.
Anandaciva, who has been working alongside Alex Baylis, assistant director of policy, in the acting co-director role, was previously head of analysis at NHS Providers, the membership body for NHS trusts and foundation trusts.
He is a member of the Office of Health Economics policy committee and the steering group of the Brace Rapid Evaluation Centre.
Sarah Woolnough, chief executive of The King’s Fund, said: “Siva has long led The King’s Fund’s work on NHS funding, finances, productivity and performance, driving national debate through his incisive analysis.
“He is an authority on health and care and his deep understanding is a huge asset for The King’s Fund. Siva will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.”
Anandaciva said: ‘I’m really pleased to be starting my new position at The King’s Fund at this incredibly important time for the health and care system.
“With the 10-year plan and comprehensive spending review to come in spring, The King's Fund will continue to advocate for more care to be delivered closer to home, bolstering prevention to help us lead healthier lives, tackling the worst health outcomes, and making careers in health and care more attractive and fulfilling.”
