£1m from Omaze prize draw guaranteed for British Heart Foundation

At least £1m from the next Omaze prize draw will go towards the British Heart Foundation, the prize draw operator’s new charity partner.

Omaze has announced its latest draw, which will see someone win a country manor near Bath worth more than £4m, alongside £250,000 in cash.

The grade II-listed manor, which is situated in the village of Batheaston, boasts four reception rooms, a bespoke kitchen, a south-facing drawing room, a dining room with a Breccia Medicea marble fireplace and a garden room complete with a secret kitchen and bar.

It also has one acre of gardens and grounds, a workshop, an ice-house, a log-store, a shed and an undercroft.

At least £1m raised by the draw will go to the BHF, Omaze has guaranteed as part of its new donation model announced in November last year.

This is the third time BHF has partnered with Omaze, with the previous two partnerships, in 2021 and 2023, having raised a combined £3m.

The money raised from the prize draw will go towards funding more defibrillators in communities across the country, as well as The Circuit – the national defibrillator network developed by the BHF, which maps defibrillators across the UK to ensure emergency services can direct bystanders to the nearest one in a medical emergency.

The partnership is backed by BHF ambassadors and pop group S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, who lost their bandmate Paul Cattermole to heart issues in 2022.

S Club said: “Losing our much-loved band member Paul to an undiagnosed heart condition last year brought the importance of the BHF’s work sharply into focus for us. We know that this Omaze partnership is hugely important to the charity, therefore it’s important to us too.

“We want to honour Paul’s memory by helping others and feel fortunate we can do this through these fantastic organisations.”

James Oakes, chief international officer at Omaze, said: “Everyone at Omaze is thrilled to be partnering with BHF again for our latest house draw.

“Our charity partners get introduced to vast new audiences that they wouldn't otherwise reach. We’re extremely proud that the Omaze community has raised over £67m for good causes across the UK.”

Entries are open for the prize draw now and will close on 26 January for online entries and 28 January for postal entries.
