750-year-old charity changes its name
A care charity that has operated for more than 750 years has changed its name to honour its legacy and embrace the future, the charity has said.
The Hospital of God has changed its name to The Greatham Foundation, which the charity reflected both where it had come from and where it was headed.
The charity provides residential, nursing and day care for elderly people in the Hartlepool area.
The Greatham Foundation said its rebrand was not a departure from its past but an evolution that ensured it continued to support its community in future generations.
“As part of this transition, you’ll notice a refreshed visual identity that reflects our values and the work we do,” the charity said.
“We remain dedicated to enhancing lives through compassionate care and community-driven support."
The new logo is expected to be revealed in March.
The charity worked with the Teesside-based design agency Vove on the rebrand.
The Greatham Foundation declined to disclose the cost of the work and said it was commercially sensitive information.
Lawrence McAnelly, director of The Greatham Foundation, said: “Our mission has always been to serve our community with compassion, dignity and excellence.
“As the needs of our community evolve, so must we. This rebrand represents our vision for the future, ensuring we remain a vital resource for generations to come.”
